Mission of Twins Days

  • To provide a vehicle for celebrating the uniqueness of twins and others of multiple birth.
  • To provide a vehicle for the celebration of the heritage of Twinsburg and to generate positive public relations for Twins Days, the City of Twinsburg and its residents.
  • To provide a centralized location for the multitude of twin related information including but not limited to researchers, researchers’ studies, photos of twins and associated information.
  • To provide fundraising opportunities for local organizations such as the Twinsburg Athletic Boosters, Twinsburg Vocal Boosters, Twinsburg Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts, and the Twinsburg Rotary Club.
  • To operate as a 501.c3 non-profit, charitable organization in the State of Ohio. To be registered with the IRS, which allows all contributions to be tax deductible in accordance with section 140 of the Internal Revenue Service.
  • To operate as a volunteer organization, comprised of both volunteers and a small part-time paid staff. To maintain a part-time staff for the planning and execution of legal agreements, contracts, purchase orders, and other necessary paperwork.
  • To operate as an independent organization from the City of Twinsburg with its primary purpose being to promote Twins Days and the City of Twinsburg.
  • To operate independently from the City of Twinsburg or other government body. To continue enjoying an amicable relationship with the City of Twinsburg and the Twinsburg School system, who provide immeasurable services for the Twins Days weekend.
  • To support the current and subsequent festivals by utilizing funds generated from twins’ registration fees, booth rentals, souvenir sales, parking fees, various festival activities and corporate sponsorships.
  • To give back to the community by underwriting a $1,000 research grant, two $1,000 college scholarships for twin seniors, and two $500 college scholarships for Twinsburg High School seniors.
